Is depression and menopause should come together? Can it can also be possible that a woman can be in it's menopausal stage without feeling depressed about it?

Not to all people but to some yes. There are some women who can not hold her depression. In menopausal period it makes changes of their outlook in their lives. but if the woman has an optimistic outlook, then her emotion may not be affected.

Menopause can trigger feelings of sadness and episodes of depression in a number of women. It is thought that somewhere between 8% and 15% of menopausal women experience some form of depression..

I think it's like a package deal..depression may come along with menopause..in some reason i think it's because of the changes of the body that it's really uncontrollable.

I don't believe that depression always go together. It is just in the mind. The brain controls our body. If the woman is in her menopausal stage there's nothing to worry it is only the monthly period that disappear.

According to a gynecologist depression can be normally be felt during menopausal stage. But it depends upon the individual's outlook in life. Depression can be controlled. It is just in the mind.

There are some instances that these two should come together, but at all times. But it also depends upon the individual who handles these case.

If you think you are in this stage of depression the most important thing that must do is to participate in normal activities. Don't become isolated.

If depression is present within you, then submit yourself to a primary care physician, who can prescribe medications, monitor other medical conditions and offer support and encouragement may be all that's needed.

I think it's really hard to avoid having depression during your menopausal stage. The two really should come together and it's part of the body changes that every woman will experience.

depression is just in the mind, if you think that you are no longer be used on earth that no one loves you anymore then you are for sure welcoming depression.

Aldren - April 3

Why do you feel depression? It is because of your menopausal period? Ahhh! Don't think like as if you are a waste rug already. Don't think that you are no longer be used on this earth. Take time to ponder it is only the monthly period not function.

Terche - April 3

Menopause is not an illness it should be accepted as it is. So don't be depressed. It is just a normal matter.

Ezzy - April 4

That's right don't get depressed about menstruation. All the women may go and experience the stage of menopause. You have to be optimistic about this matter.
