I am in the navy and the pre naitle vits that they have me on are stoping me up so bad. I have an over the counter stool soffiner and even taking that is not helping. I eat a well ballenced diet and stay away from fast food and im still so constipated that my belly hurts to push on it. any ideas

it's normal. when you are preggy, you are prone to constipation. just increase your water intake and eat apple, papaya or banana in the morning. it should help.

as your baby grows bigger, the pressure in your pelvic area increases and makes constipation more likely.try yoga, it can ease constipation.

you may get constipated during pregnancy but you can relieve or prevent constipation. eat high fiber food such as beans, brown rice, and whole-grain cereals.

make sure that you are taking a prenatal multivitamin that doesn't contain a large dose of iron because this will give you constipation.

constipation is common because the pregnancy progesterone hormone slows down the movement of food through the intestine.
